"Monopoly - Stay Hungry, Stay Humble." by IKONICK.
Hunger and humility. Balance those and you will find your success.
This is the yin and yang of successful people. Two contrasting but complementary ingredients that, when balanced, lead to huge things.
Hunger doesn't care about your current circumstances. Whether you are coming off a big win or a crippling failure, your drive should be the same. Taking a loss can be a strong motivator to work harder, and it can be just as tempting to slow down after getting a taste of success. But it is the ones who stay hungry after earning their vacation that keep the momentum carrying them upward.
Being humble helps build that momentum. By adopting a humble mindset, you realize there is always room for growth and improvement, and can therefore stay ahead of complacent competitors. Humility also shifts acclaim from the leader to the team, so more people will want to work with (and for) you. As author C.S. Lewis famously quoted, “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less.”
Hunger is necessary for anyone trying to improve their position. You need to have that itch to want something more. But without humility, the road to the top will be a lonely one. After all, no one wants to work with an arrogant egomaniac.
Remember that when you're cooking up big plans for the future. Chances are, you will fall down at some point during your journey. If you are humble on your way up, you will have a support system waiting to help you back on your feet. If not, you will be surrounded by people celebrating your failure.
The "Stay Hungry, Stay Humble" canvas from the officially licensed Monopoly Front Page Collection encourages the hunger to never give up on the things that inspire you and the humility to not take yourself (or your failures) too seriously along the way. Whether your dream is to start a business of your own or create a game that will entertain millions, these two traits will be the greatest tools at your disposal.
Origins Of Monopoly
The earliest known version of Monopoly, known as The Landlord's Game, was designed by Elizabeth Magie in 1904 to teach people about realty and taxation. It was a practical demonstration of the present system of land grabbing with all its usual outcomes and consequences. In 1935, It then inspired the game we know today.
The Inspiration for IKONICKs collection comes from the same very origin Elizabeth Magie had to educate and teach. This new collection is meant to rewrite the nostalgic stories we all played growing up. We created our own world with the intention to inspire and motivate a new generation of entrepreneurs and dreamers that want to build their empire through hard work, patience, risk-taking, leadership, optimism, focus, and gratitude.
